How is this useful?
Internet types are soiling themselves because of this new Google Maps feature. It's pretty cool, I must admit. And like any new feature, people want to develop a killer app for it.
This is not one of them. Sorry to say, I just do not see how seeing where a taxi cab is can be useful. Unless I am sitting on a park bench with a wi-fi connection and the google map says one is about to come around the corner, there is no way that knowing the exact location of the cab will do me any good.

Ok, so knowing a cab's location may not do you anygood. Especially if I'm out and about and not carrying around my laptap with wi-fi connection. I mean, are cabs really that hard to locate that you have to utilize a website to pinpoint one? And aren't the chances pretty high that once you've "located" one, it's the same one that 18 other people have located and now you all just can't cram into one taxi can you?
I think I'll just sit around and wait until I see a cab approaching and take my chances....

The cab will probably just have its "Not For Hire" light on, anyway.
