Dunk this
Now I am steamed. Once or twice a week, I'll stop in at the Dunkin' Donuts around the corner from school for a hot chocolate. It keeps me going in the morning. A medium hot chocolate costs $1.71, and I dutifully keep the right amount of change in my pocket.
Yesterday I walked in and got my chocolate, and the lady intoned that it was now $1.97. I said, what gives? It's supposed to be $1.71! She mumbled something which I assumed was a change in the price.
Are you telling me that Dunkin' Donuts has to raise the price of its chocolate by 20 cents? Totally not cool! I have not visited any other Dunkin Donuts to see if the price change is in all stores, or simply the product of this particular franchisee attempting to squeeze an extra 20 cents out of a poor law student like myself. Dunkin' Donuts at 33 West Jackson? You're on my shitlist.

Holy Shit. I hate that Dunkin Donuts. One time, just after I graduated college and was living at my parent's house I had ventured into the city to go to a concert. Naturally I took the train. On the way home I saw that Dunkin Donuts and decided that I needed a little something to get me through the train ride home. I ordered my donuts (as did my friends), gave the guy $20 because I never have anything smaller, he then proceeds to talk to a guy in the back of the store for literally 10 minutes before giving me my change. So we ended up missing our train by about 30 seconds and had to spend the next hour and ten minutes playing in Union Station because nothing else was open. Oh, and on top of that all the donuts were stale. I hate that Dunkin Donuts with the passion of a soft-porn love scene. In fact, just knowing that you patronize such an establishment makes me question our friendship.

Wow, that Dunkin' Donuts sure arouses the passions. As a favor to you, I will try my best to visit the other Dunkin Donuts, even though it will require me to get off at the next El stop and walk in the freezing cold an extra two blocks.
